Izba is a boutique Supply Chain & Operations consulting and outsourcing firm located in the Greater NYC area, with operations throughout the country.
 
We support building, restructuring, and optimizing supply chains of startups in all phases of growth, as well as medium and large corporations, by leveraging Fortune 500 experience to bring excellence into any situation.
Our goal is to scale companies quickly while freeing founders and leaders to focus on other aspects of their business.

Aaron Alpeter, CPIM

Principal and Founder
 

Aaron is a graduate of Unilever’s prestigious Supply Chain Management Program where he spent 5 years gaining direct experience working in planning, manufacturing, international logistics, and continuous improvement. He was brought on as the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Hubble Contacts to design an international supply chain from the ground up and run the customer service teams.  Most recently Aaron was COO at Sustain Natural where he redesigned their operations to be fully scalable while significantly improving Gross Margin. He's been a consultant and adviser to several other NYC based startups including Keepers.co, Zesty-Z, and The Farmer’s Dog.

 

Aaron, along with his wife, daughter and son, lives in Northern New Jersey.

 

Aaron’s passion is in building companies and teams and he is always open to sharing experiences and helping others.

Warren Harper

Chief Development Officer
 

Warren is responsible for the development of people, processes and strategic client management at Izba. Most recently Warren was Sr. VP, of Global Marketing and Communications at Phibro where he designed marketing strategies, assessed competitive positioning, established pricing, promotion and routes-to-market for major new products. Prior Warren was with Eli Lilly in a variety of global executive roles across marketing, business development, operations, compliance and business alliances. He has managed operations in the U.S., South America, Asia, Europe, South Africa and Australia. During his career, Warren has lived and worked for more than a decade in Europe, Asia and Latin America and has traveled and worked in 50+ countries. Through this experience he has developed a strong international business and cultural perspective, and broad overview of the global legal and regulatory landscape. Adept at building long-term relationships, he has developed an extensive network through his engagement with U.S. and international embassies, multinational companies and local and global professional associations to advance business agendas. Warren is passionate about developing people and growing businesses, and looks forward to working with you and your business team.

Warren is a cowboy at heart and lives with his wife in New Jersey.

Keaton Tate

Managing Director
 

Keaton is a former Unilever and Supply Chain leader where he spent 6 years in varying pillars mastering simplification and financial savings techniques with a priority in building impactful relationships. Upon leaving Unilever, Keaton joined the Izba team where he has built or supported over a dozen startups and their Operations with various responsibilities such as leading cash flow initiatives, network redesign and COO.

 

His areas of expertise include transportation, planning, international logistics and procurement efficiencies. Keaton has a deep passion for procurement and has a proven track record for improving performance. In addition, Keaton worked in a food manufacturing team where he led a team of 6 people, managing materials and production schedules. He holds a Logistics & International Business degree from The University of Tennessee and currently, along with his wife and daughter, resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

 

Outside of work, Keaton has a passion for traveling and being immersed in new situations and cultures.

Brittney Frees

Operations Consultant
 

Brittney started her career as a Satellite Propulsion Engineer, with a focus on new product development, at Boeing Satellite Systems. Here, she was able to utilize her Chemical Engineering degree from UC San Diego and her passion for cross-functional project management. After 7 years at Boeing, curiosity pushed her to explore a new industry and she transitioned from a multibillion-dollar corporation to a small, rapidly growing CPG startup building menstrual products. There, Brittney specialized in manufacturing support and business process improvement. She was also responsible for creating and strategizing internal processes. She loves gathering data and pain-points from customers to develop effective solutions. Brittney’s breadth of experience allows her to see problems holistically and think of solutions that are outside of the box. She is motivated by mission-driven companies and socially conscious brands.


Brittney lives with her partner in Portland, Oregon, and loves being active outdoors and cooking.

Jenna Hartter

Operations Consultant
 

Jenna comes to Izba from the strategic buying space at Unilever. She was recruited to Unilever's Supply Chain Management program where she delivered efficiencies and cost savings across logistics, manufacturing, and procurement operations. Jenna went on to lead co-manufacturing strategy for one of the company's latest personal care acquisitions, including taking the portfolio through its integration with Unilever. It was there she fell in love with the startup environment and decided to bring her expertise to building new venture supply chains. 

  

Jenna is a sustainability enthusiast, bringing diverse experience from academic research, corporate sustainability, and grassroots community organizations. She is always interested in a conversation about how to build resilient & sustainable supply chains to benefit people and the planet. 

  

When she's not traveling or finding some new hiking trail, Jenna lives in Denver, CO with her husband Ethan.

Carly Monzo

Operations Consultant
 

After graduating from Loyola University Maryland with a degree in Communications and International Business, Carly dove headfirst into international freight forwarding space by starting in a front-line operations position at Mainfreight. There, she was able to gain a high-level proficiency in international and domestic shipping including data analytics, pricing, documentation, and best methods of transport. 

Carly then grew within Mainfreight into a Key Account Management position where she placed her focus on account workflow and strategic needs of her clients. She handled a variety of customers across several different product categories, working their accounts to make sure their supply chain flowed smoothly with each of their respective production and distribution plans. Her areas of expertise include air freight, FCL/LCL ocean freight, and global costing. 

In her free time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, and studying foreign culture/language

Jennifer Polce

Operations Consultant
 

Jennifer is a motivated and seasoned operations and supply chain professional. Having co-founded a start-up business, her entrepreneurial background makes her uniquely placed to help deliver rapid growth and bring organizations to their next phase of development. She is driven to create a seamless multi-channel experience for brands and their customers. Her expertise lies in international logistics, multi-channel retail optimization, business process improvement.

 

In her previous company, a fast growing consumer electronics start up, Jennifer worked to develop and manufacture a range of interactive licensed products for brands such as Star Wars and Disney. On top of manufacturing, she created a global fulfillment plan which allowed the company to expand to 14 countries globally through distribution, retail and warehousing partnerships in less than 2 years.

 

She resides in Pittsburgh, PA and in her free time is hiking, exercising or out with her 2 dogs. Prior to Pittsburgh she resided in Singapore and Australia for over 10 years and has a degree in Finance from the University of London.

Scott Alpeter

Director of Employee Experience 
 

Scott brings more than 30 years of organizational team building and leadership to the Izba group. He has spent much of his career as a sales representative in the wholesale picture frame industry. He has rebuilt and strengthened teams in the automobile industry and at a boutique law firm. Scott has also managed groups both large and small in the private sector, in the nonprofit world and also in many service related capacities. He has a passion for bringing people together and forging success through diversity, positive attitudes and teamwork. Scott has a business degree from Otterbein College where he also served as a track and cross country coach for many years. 

 

He and his wife Mary live near Chicago and are the proud parents of 5 children and grandparents of 5 wonderful grandchildren. Outside of work, Scott enjoys golfing and planning family gatherings 

Jonas Busse - International Trade

Jonas has spent the last 10 years fully immersed in international trade. Originally from Denmark, he began his career in Europe managing the inland freight moves for imports and exports. After moving to the US, he continued in operational air freight roles between the US and Europe working with both public sector, Military, and corporate clients for freight as diverse as temperature controlled shipments to exotic cars. For the past several years, Jonas has worked on the sales side of freight forwarding for companies such as Kuehne + Nagel and Mainfreight where he has interacted with countless startups of all sizes and across all verticals.

Mike Smith - Manufacturing

Mike draws upon 30 years of world-class Foods manufacturing experience in general management, large-scale transformation, leadership performance, organizational development, employee engagement, labor relations, technology innovation, and operational excellence. He started with Unilever in 1985 as a production supervisor and rose through the ranks to manage several factories and hundreds of employees in Unionized environments. Mike was also an integral part of the largest infrastructure investment in the history of Unilever’s Foods business consolidating 4 factories into one. Mike retired from Unilever in 2015 and continues to advise companies across industries as an advisor to C-level decision makers. He is currently leading an innovative pilot to bring augmented reality to manufacturing which will improve safety & efficiency for line workers.

Ted Narozny- Manufacturing, S&OP & Vendor Relations

Ted brings over 20 years of global CPG experience across all product categories. He has managed multiple factories and warehouses, led planning and procurement organizations, and is currently the S&OP lead for a $10B North American business. Ted has led the supply chain due diligence of potential acquisitions including the identification of synergies to drive savings and the overall integration/improvement of the supply chains of acquired companies. 

 

While living in Europe, he was the Global Director of 3rd Party Manufacturing where he was involved in negotiating and launching product groups as diverse as food and toothbrushes in international markets for both traditional retail and ecommerce ventures.
